The faction “A Just Russia – For Truth” (SRZP) in the State Duma at a meeting of its expert council on Monday summed up the work in the spring session. Party members and experts called demography, health care, education, science and security the main problems for the country, and their main theses, one way or another, boiled down to the need to revise the budget policy. The Socialist-Revolutionaries promised to systematize all the proposals that were made and send them to the president and to the structures of the executive branch.

The meeting of the SRHR Expert Council was traditionally held under the Justice Forum brand – this time with the subtitle “In difficult times, Russia, next to you.” Representatives of the Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS), educational, educational and cultural organizations took part in it.

To begin with, the leader of the SRZP, Sergei Mironov, boasted of the successes achieved. “In terms of the number of bills submitted, we confidently take second place after the majority faction,” he recalled. “This is probably not very surprising, given how efficiently our expert council works. In terms of the number of adopted projects that have become laws – there were 56 of them during this time – we also confidently take second place. This, frankly, given the opposition of our faction, is somewhat surprising, but I find a very simple explanation: truth and justice are forging their way.”

From Mr. Mironov’s speech, it followed that now the legislative activity of the SRZP is focused primarily on supporting the participants in the SVO, solving problems in the field of social security, demography and education. In particular, he spoke about the need to multiply the minimum wage, introduce a basic income for families with children, improve housing lending mechanisms and develop the taxation system. “But you need to start with the truth,” Sergei Mironov explained. “We need to call a spade a spade, to be honest about how many poor people we have. And we have about half of our population poor people. And if we recognize the fact, then we start thinking about how to solve this problem.”

Deputy Yana Lantratova, who is responsible in the SRZP for supporting NWO members and their families, reported on achievements in this field, emphasizing that party members and experts are not just “waiting for victory”, but “are actively helping to forge it.” Deputy Dmitry Gusev summed up the factional report: “Our faction is small, but fighting. It is doubly pleasant to report to this audience, because many of the initiatives that were made here, in this team, were taken into account, heard and implemented.” Following the leader of the party, Mr. Gusev emphasized demographic difficulties, emphasizing their direct connection with the well-being of citizens, and pointed out the importance of work in terms of countering monopolies and especially ensuring anti-terrorist and public security.

Members of the expert council mainly criticized the financial and economic bloc of the government and attributed most of the problems to insufficient funding and the low level of well-being of citizens. “The quality of life is the main indicator of the competitiveness of the state,” explained Vladimir Ivanov, Vice President of the Russian Academy of Sciences. “If we do not ensure the quality of life at the level of world standards, we risk that migration flows will be directed from us to other countries, which we are seeing. And there will be other migration flows to us, where the qualifications of the arrivals are much lower than the one that satisfies us. The issue of quality of life becomes a key issue.”

The financial side was even affected by cultural figures. But the greatest applause was caused by the performance of the actor Vladimir Konkin, dedicated to “non-material” issues. “(Director.- “b”) Svetlana Druzhinina said that our ideology is the absence of ideology, I don’t quite agree with that. Because the ideology of destruction exists completely: all television channels, from small to large. We have a special operation going on, how many words we have heard here of sadness, pain, real tragedy. And the showmen are all right, peacocks!” The artist called the current cultural agenda “Kirkorovshchina”, complaining with fervor that the heads of TV channels, where all this is broadcast, receive numerous state awards.

“I pass every speech through my soul,” Yana Lantratova assured the experts. “We fight, we sometimes overcome such barriers in order to defend this or that initiative!” The MP promised to unite all theses of the experts in one summary, which the party will send to the authorities. “And we will continue meetings,” she assured.
