The Duma appreciated the proposal to stop selling nuclear fuel to the United States

Russia may refuse to supply American companies with nuclear fuel, mineral fertilizers and platinum group metals, which are extremely valuable for industry, but this is not necessary now. This opinion was expressed by the Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Industry and Trade, Vladimir Gutenev, reports aif.ru.
According to Gutenev, due to the struggle to deplete the economy that Russia is waging, reserves should be maintained until the refusal to trade in certain product groups becomes the most sensitive for the counterparty. He emphasized that the Russian side still has not exhausted its range of response measures, so at the right time these reserves will play an important role.
The deputy also noted that the United States used to occupy fifth place in trade turnover with the Russian Federation, but has now almost completely curtailed its exports – up to $36 million per month. Because of this, the US has damaged American companies, he added.
