The DPR created a regional department of the FSB of Russia

In the DPR, a regional department of the FSB of Russia was formed, Major General Oleg Bolomozhnov was appointed head of the department. About it informed headquarters of the territorial defense of the DPR in his Telegram channel.

“According to the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation V.V. Putin dated December 31, 2022, the Directorate of the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation was established on the territory of the Donetsk People’s Republic,” the message says.

During a special operation in Ukraine, the Russian military took control of the LPR, as well as most of the DPR, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions. At the end of September, five-day referendums were held in these territories on the issue of joining subjects to Russia. Residents supported the entry of regions into the Russian Federation by a majority of votes.

On September 30, the President of the Russian Federation and the heads of the DPR, LPR, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions signed agreements on the regions joining Russia. On October 4, the Federation Council, following the State Duma, ratified all the treaties, and the next day Putin signed federal laws on the admission of four new subjects to the Russian Federation.

The transition period for the new regions of the Russian Federation is set until January 1, 2026. At the same time, the acting head of the DPR, Denis Pushilin spokethat the authorities of the republic intend to “reduce this stage.”

In November, regional prosecutor’s offices were also created in the DPR, LPR, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions. Orders to this effect were signed by Russian Prosecutor General Igor Krasnov.
