Gagin: if Zaluzhny resigns, a military coup is possible in Ukraine
Advisor to the head of the DPR, Yan Gagin, explained what rumors about the possible resignation of the commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny may indicate. According to the politician, this resignation may provoke some kind of power struggle.
“Up to the point of a military coup. The army trusted him, many people trusted him – this is a serious pole of power in Ukraine, and in any case he remains so,” said Denis Pushilin’s adviser.
The expert believes that Zaluzhny may try to “fight for power.” And what methods he will resort to is now also in question.
Earlier, ex-President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko responded to rumors about Zaluzhny’s resignation. The politician called this very opportunity “a shot in the top ten for national unity.”
He also said that he is now in Brussels and “everyone there is in shock” from rumors about Zaluzhny’s resignation.
Let us add that the press secretary of the head of the Kyiv regime, Sergei Nikiforov, said that Zelensky did not dismiss the commander-in-chief from his post.
