The dome of the Senate Palace of the Kremlin, which was damaged in the attack by Ukrainian drones, has already been restored. This was announced on Friday, May 5, in the presidential administration.
As Elena Krylova, the press secretary of the manager of affairs, specified, two copper sheets on the dome of the palace were replaced as part of the work, nothing more was required.
On the night of May 3, two Ukrainian drones attempted to strike the Kremlin, but were eliminated by the Russian air defense system.
Press Secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov said that as a result of a drone attack on the Kremlin, two copper sheets were singed that cover the dome over the Catherine Hall of the Senate Palace. There was no more damage or destruction.
No one was hurt, the president at that time was in another residence, although after the start of the special operation in Ukraine, Vladimir Putin very often uses an apartment in the Kremlin – especially at the moments of the greatest workload of the work schedule.
