The DIA promised to start paying the depositors of the deprived Krosna-Bank license by August 26

Payments to customers of the Moscow Krosna Bank, whose license was revoked on August 12, will begin no later than August 26, reported Deposit Insurance Agency. Based on the bank’s statements dated July 1, 2022, the credit institution’s insurance liability is estimated at RUB 623 million.
Krosna-Bank participates in the deposit insurance system, deposits will be returned to depositors in the amount of 100% of the balance of funds. According to the Central Bank, this amount will not exceed 1.4 million rubles. As noted in the DIA, interest on deposits will be calculated on the date of occurrence of the insured event based on the terms of each specific bank deposit (account) agreement.
Depositors can apply for insurance compensation during the entire period of liquidation of the bank, which is at least a year.
Explaining the revocation of the license from Krosna-Bank, Bank of Russia notedthat since 2019, the credit institution has been consistently “operationally unprofitable”. The reason for the revocation of the license was repeated violations of the instructions of the Central Bank.
