Deputy Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation Timur Ivanov inspected the construction of a new base for the Caspian flotilla in Dagestan.
There, military builders are building the Northern and Southern protective piers with a total length of almost 3 kilometers, 17 berths, three of which are floating. In February, a hydraulic launcher for launching ships was put into operation.
In addition, a large military hospital is being built in Kaspiysk: a polyclinic building, a treatment and diagnostic unit, a ward module, an infectious diseases department, two helipads, a canteen, and auxiliary premises.
