The death toll of Russians in Israel rises to four

According to updated data, four Russian citizens died as a result of an attack by the Palestinian radical organization Hamas on Israel, said Marina Ryazanova, spokeswoman for the Russian Embassy in Tel Aviv.

“We regret to inform you that, according to updated data from the Israeli side, as of 17:00 on October 10, four citizens of the Russian Federation, who also had Israeli citizenship, are listed as dead,” – leads her words TASS.

Russian Ambassador to Israel Anatoly Viktorov previously reported two dead Russians. According to the Israeli Embassy in the United States, during the Hamas attack in Israel died about 1,000 people, more than 3,400 were injured. On the evening of October 9, the Palestinian Ministry of Health reported 687 deaths in the Gaza Strip, including 140 children. About 3,800 people were injured.

On the morning of October 7, Hamas began military operations against Israel. In response, the Israeli army launched Operation Iron Swords. The government announced that the country had entered a state of war. Since October 9, the Federal Air Transport Agency has limited night flights from Russian airports to Israel “due to the unstable military-political situation in this country.” On October 10, restrictions were extended until October 16.

Russian President Vladimir Putin called the worsening situation in the Middle East a clear example of the failure of US policy in this region. In his assessment, Washington’s actions did not take into account the “core interests” of the Palestinian people and the creation of a sovereign Palestinian state.
