The Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs released a statement on its X (formerly Twitter) social network account, announcing the country’s agreement to transfer F-16 aircraft to Ukraine in close cooperation with the United States and other partners.
The statement notes that the aircraft will be handed over when the conditions for such a handover are met.
This is primarily about the successful selection, testing and training of Ukrainian pilots. In addition, the necessary infrastructure and logistics must be created, as well as the appropriate permits must be obtained.
Today, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that he had agreed in the Netherlands to transfer 42 F-16 fighter jets to Ukraine, without specifying a timeframe.
