The Czech Republic decided to arrest the assets of businessman Yevtushenkov

The Czech authorities have decided to seize the assets of Russian businessman and founder of AFK Sistema Vladimir Yevtushenkov, included in the country’s sanctions list, informs “Czech Television”.
“Yevtushenkov was included in the sanctions list of the Czech Republic at the end of June. His property in Karlovy Vary is estimated at more than half a billion crowns,” the note says.
According to the publication, the Czech Bureau of Financial Analysis blocked the businessman’s accounts and arrested his Savoy Westend hotel in Karlovy Vary. Its cost is estimated at 100 million crowns, or about $4.6 million.
The hotel is currently operating on a limited basis, only those who paid for the stay before the end of June can stay there. The hotel management warned that its employees could lose their jobs in the future.
Yevtushenkov himself has been under British sanctions since the spring of 2022. In April of this year, the UK introduced restrictions against the Yevtushenkov family – his wife Natalya, son Felix and daughter Tatiana.
