The current head of Buryatia won 86.14% of the votes after processing more than 98% of the ballots

The current head of the Republic of Buryatia, Alexei Tsydenov, nominated by United Russia, won 86.14% of the vote after processing 98.2% of the ballots. This is stated on the online scoreboard of the CEC information center. In the elections in 2017, Mr. Tsydenov received 87.43% of the vote.
Deputy of the People’s Parliament of Buryatia Viktor Malyshenko, representing the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, won 7.16% of the vote. Entrepreneur Semyon Mateev from the New People party received 2.37% of the ballots, deputy from the Legislative Assembly Sergei Dorosh from the Liberal Democratic Party – 2.68% of the ballots.
691 thousand voters took part in the election of the governor of Buryatia. The election of a new governor took place on a single voting day on 11 September.
