On Monday, November 27, in Moscow at the age of 98, Boris Balashov, a participant in the Great Patriotic War, designer, and creator of modern ceramic body armor, died. About it reports on their page on the VKontakte network the newspaper “Special Forces of Russia” and the magazine “Razvedchik”.
According to the Shot Telegram channel, the body of the designer was found in his apartment on Musa Jalil Street. According to preliminary data, the cause of death was acute heart failure.
In total, Boris Balashov received a patent for 50 inventions. And in 1989 he received a State Prize for his ceramic body armor.
