The court sentenced three saboteurs from the “Right Sector” to terms of 6 to 14 years

Ukrainian servicemen from a sabotage and reconnaissance group created by the Right Sector group (an extremist organization banned in the Russian Federation) were sentenced by the Second Western District Military Court to terms of 6 to 14 years. Alexander Svergun was sentenced to 14 years, of which he will serve three years in prison, and 11 in a strict regime colony. The court sentenced Yana Danilova to 11 years in prison in a general regime penal colony, and Irina Puzanova – six years in a general regime colony. Svergun must also pay a fine of 400,000 rubles, and Danilova and Puzanov – 300,000 rubles each.
All three, according to the FSB, underwent special training at the Desna training center of the Armed Forces of Ukraine under the guidance of foreign instructors. The secret service discovered a cache they had created with elements of an explosive device, the impact zone of which could be up to 500 m. In the phones of Ukrainians, they found correspondence with the curators of the terrorist attack, which was planned in the Lipetsk region.
As a result, all three were accused of participation in an extremist organization, possession of explosives and preparation for a terrorist attack. Svergun was also charged under articles on smuggling explosives (part 2 of article 226.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation) and making explosives (part 2 of article 223.1 of the Criminal Code).
May 31 court in Donetsk sentenced servicemen of the nationalist association “Azov” (recognized as terrorist in Russia and banned) Yevgeny Vysotsky and Alexander Pedak to 25 years in a strict regime colony on charges of killing civilians in March 2022. They were found guilty of ill-treatment of civilians (part 1 356 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation) and the murder of two people with extreme cruelty (paragraphs “a” and “g” of Part 2 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).
