The cost of repairing and upgrading the Admiral Nakhimov heavy nuclear-powered missile cruiser amounted to 200 billion rubles, TASS reported, citing a source close to the Russian Navy.
“The cost of repair and modernization of Admiral Nakhimov has almost doubled since the start of work on it and has already exceeded 200 billion rubles, and this does not seem to be the limit,” the source said. TASS.
The cruiser “Admiral Nakhimov” was launched in 1986, in 1988 it was put into operation. He is assigned to the Northern Fleet. In 1999, it was sent for repairs and modernization. The ship must return for service in 2024. Work on modernization and repair is carried out by Sevmash, which is part of the United Shipbuilding Corporation.
