The Congress of Deputies in Transnistria decided to seek help from the Russian Federation

The draft resolution of the congress of deputies of all levels, which opens today in the unrecognized Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic, included a clause on seeking help from Russia.

The document proposes to accept an appeal to the Federation Council of the Russian Federation and the State Duma with a request to implement measures to protect Transnistria. The PMR explains the reason for such treatment by increased pressure from Moldova. In addition, deputies ask Russia to take into account the fact that more than 220 thousand Russian citizens live in the republic on a permanent basis.

Also, congress deputies in their draft mention the unique positive experience of the Russian peacekeeping mission and the status of Russia as a guarantor and mediator in the negotiation process.
