The Communist Party of the Russian Federation nominated the incumbent head Konovalov for the election of the governor of Khakassia

The head of the Republic of Khakassia, Valentin Konovalov, has been nominated for the election of the governor by the regional branch of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, the current head of the region said in his Telegram channel.

“By unanimous decision – in the course of a secret ballot – the delegates nominated me as a candidate for the post of head of Khakassia – chairman of the government of Khakassia”, – wrote He.

Elections of the head of the republic, deputies of the Supreme Council, heads and deputies of local self-government bodies are scheduled for September 10, Konovalov recalled.

Valentin Konovalov was elected to the post of head of Khakassia in 2018, beating incumbent governor Viktor Zimin, who came from United Russia, in the first round.
