The Bureau of the Primorsky Regional Committee of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation decided to withdraw documents on the nomination of a candidate for the Vladivostok Duma, Pavel Izhko. He was blamed for the inability to “clearly explain” to voters the position of the Communist Party regarding the military special operation in Ukraine: at one of the election meetings, the candidate said that there were not enough funds to solve the social problems of the townspeople, because they were going to the “power bloc”. The communist himself at first tried to explain to his comrades “his understanding of Marxism-Leninism”, but then he nevertheless repented, saying that he had been provoked.
The leadership of the Primorsky cell of the Communist Party decided to withdraw the nomination of a candidate for the Duma of Vladivostok in the 28th single-mandate district of the chairman of the HOA “Chasovitina 17” 35-year-old Pavel Izhko. On August 15, the corresponding document was sent to the election commission. “Izhko was unable to clearly and competently explain the position of our party regarding the special operation at a meeting with voters, he did not say that the Communist Party of the Russian Federation supports it. In this regard, we decided that he could not represent the party in the City Duma, ”Anatoly Dolgachev, first secretary of the regional committee of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, explained to Kommersant the position of the bureau. He added that the issue of Mr. Izhko’s expulsion from the Communist Party was not raised.
In a video posted on social networks on August 12, Pavel Izhko answers questions from voters and, among other things, gives his version of the city budget deficit. There are not enough funds to solve social problems, because the money goes to the “power bloc”, and the special military operation is beneficial to the “ruling class”, the deputy candidate explains.
Pavel Izhko did not answer Kommersant’s calls. “He was at a meeting with the activists of the party, which took place after the meeting of the bureau. Izhko tried to explain the position with his understanding of Marxism-Leninism, but then he admitted a mistake and said that he was provoked into unsuccessful statements, ”says a Kommersant source in the regional committee of the Communist Party. “The document on the withdrawal of Izhko’s candidacy has been received by the district election commission. The commission will consider it,” Tatyana Gladkikh, chairwoman of the Primorsky Territory Election Commission, told Kommersant. According to the GAS “Vybory”, at the moment, Mr. Izhko has already lost the status of a registered candidate.
It is interesting that earlier it was in Primorye that several resonant scandals occurred with deputies from the Communist Party of the Russian Federation of various levels, who publicly doubted the expediency of a special military operation of the Russian Federation in Ukraine. For example, at the end of February, Vladivostok Duma deputy Viktor Kamenshchikov filed an application to leave the Communist Party, stating that he did not agree with the position of its leadership regarding the special operation. “It actually supported the military operations in Ukraine, the use of Russian troops on the territory of a neighboring state. And I am against war in principle, ”Mr. Kamenshchikov explained his demarche to Kommersant. Later it became known that he left the territory of Russia and was detained at the US border while trying to move to this country.
And on May 27, Leonid Vasyukevich, a member of the Communist Party faction of the Legislative Assembly of Primorye, read out at a parliamentary meeting an appeal to President Vladimir Putin demanding to stop the special operation, for which he was expelled from the faction (he was not a member of the party) and later fined 30 thousand rubles. under Art. 20.3.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses on discrediting the army. “The official position of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation: we support the actions of our armed forces to denazify Ukraine,” Anatoly Dolgachev, the first secretary of the regional committee, explained to Kommersant.
The attitude towards the special operation became a stumbling block for the communists in other regions of Russia as well. For example, in early August, Ivan Kamshilov, a deputy of the Kurgan City Duma, reported on a visit by police officers who found signs of discrediting the Russian armed forces on his VKontakte page. And the ex-deputy of the City Duma of Yekaterinburg and the Sverdlovsk Legislative Assembly from the Communist Party of the Russian Federation Nafik Famiev has already been fined three times under this article for anti-war posts in social networks for a total of 105 thousand rubles.
