On Thursday, the head of the Federation Council commission for the protection of state sovereignty, Andrei Klimov, held a final press conference dedicated to attempts by foreign interference in the presidential elections of the Russian Federation. According to him, attempts to stigmatize the Russian electoral system are due to the fact that in fact it has become “truly sovereign”, and the current elections are “a competition between the programs of candidates advocating the development of the country, and not in the interests of distant anti-Russian centers.” “Hence the anger (on their part.— “Kommersant”), which is not hidden,” added the head of the commission.
