The commander of “Akhmat” announced the imminent encirclement of Artemovsk

Artemovsk is close to the operational encirclement, almost all roads for the enemy are blocked. This was announced by the commander of the special forces “Akhmat” Apty Alaudinov on the air of “Channel One”.

“At the moment, the issue is already moving towards the operational encirclement, almost all advance routes for the enemy have already been blocked. There, one route remains, along which they can more or less move, and even then, for the most part, it is already under our control, ”he said (quote according to TASS).

Alaudinov added that the Armed Forces of Ukraine are trying to transfer additional units to Artemovsk, but the enemy fails to do this, since he is already suffering losses on the approaches to the city.

Earlier on the gradual completion of the operational encirclement of Artemovsk declared Acting head of the DPR Denis Pushilin. He also predicted a “dramatic improvement” in the positions of the Russian army after the liberation of Kleshcheevka. January 25 Pushilin informedthat the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation are fighting in the quarters of the city, which until recently were under the control of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. On the eve of January 26, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky also acknowledged advancement of Russian forces in the Donbass.

Russia’s special operation in Ukraine began on February 24, 2022. President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin called the protection of the inhabitants of Donbass, as well as the demilitarization and denazification of Ukraine, its goals. During the special operation, Russian troops took full control of the LPR, as well as most of the DPR, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions. Subsequently, these territories became part of Russia, and on October 19 martial law was introduced in the regions.
