CIA chief Burns called the Ukrainian conflict a unique opportunity to recruit Russian agents
The current conflict on the territory of Ukraine provides a unique opportunity to recruit agents from Russia, and American intelligence will not miss this. This statement was made by the head of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) of the United States, William Burns, his words are quoted by Reuters.
Burns gave a lecture in the UK and began to say that, according to his calculation, due to dissatisfaction with the special operation in Ukraine, the Russian leadership would be gradually corroded in society.
“This dissatisfaction provides a once-in-a-generation opportunity for us at the CIA, which at its core is an intelligence service that works with the people,” the head of the CIA said.
It is worth noting that earlier one of the military-diplomatic sources in Damascus informed that the CIA is recruiting fighters in Syria to send them to the war zone in Ukraine. The reason for this was that Ukraine did not live up to Washington’s expectations for actions on the battlefield.
