The Italian-Russian Chamber of Commerce (IRCC) has launched a test system that will allow Russian member companies of the IRTC to buy Italian goods allowed for import into Russia for rubles. Ferdinando Pelazzo, head of the IRTP, told RIA Novosti about this.
According to Mr. Pelazzo, the test regime will last about three months. After this, IRTI will conduct an examination and decide whether to launch the mechanism for all Russian companies.
The system developed by IRTP allows the chamber to pay for Italian goods in rubles, and then transfer this money to Italy from its account in a third country. For this, how told Ferdinando Pelazzo in December 2023, IRTP reached an agreement with the Armenian bank.
The Italian-Russian Chamber of Commerce was founded in 1964 to promote economic, trade, legal and scientific cooperation between Italy and Russia. According to information on website350 companies are members of the IRTI, including Global Standard, Elta and Lavanse JSC.
