The CEO of Wildberries gave evidence to the Investigative Committee after a fire in a warehouse in St. Petersburg

General Director of Wildberries Tatyana Bakalchuk testified at the office of the Investigative Committee of Russia (ICR) in St. Petersburg regarding a fire in a warehouse in the village of Shushary. Previously, the Investigative Committee opened a case due to violations of fire safety rules under the article on abuse of power (Part 1 of Article 201 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).

“Tatiana Bakalchuk gave detailed testimony to the Investigative Committee of St. Petersburg of the Russian Federation and emphasized that Wildberries is interested in quickly establishing the causes of the incident and is providing all possible assistance to the investigation,” the Wildberries press service reported in its closed Telegram channel.

A fire in the warehouse of an online retailer in St. Petersburg began on the morning of January 13. The fire was contained to an area of ​​70 thousand square meters. m, him extinguished only in a day.

After the fire, Gosstroynadzor stated that the Wildberries warehouse in St. Petersburg operated illegally and did not have an application for commissioning. The company’s press service denied this and said that the warehouse received a conclusion on compliance with city planning regulations and safety requirements.
