Specialists of the Central Election Commission repelled about 30,000 attacks on remote electronic voting resources (DEV) over the three-day election period, CEC member Igor Borisov said at the information center.
“At the moment, since the beginning of the three-day voting, about 30,000 attacks on DEG resources have been blocked and prevented, the bulk of which occurred on the vybory.gov.ru website,” said Mr. Borisov (quoted from “Interfax”).
The CEC member noted that the number of attacks is constantly increasing, the flow does not stop. He stated that massive attacks are coming from the territory of unfriendly states.
Yesterday, September 9, the head of the Central Election Commission Ella Pamfilova stated, that in less than two days more than 15 thousand DDoS attacks on DEG resources were blocked. In Russia, from September 8 to 10, elections of senior officials are being held in 21 constituent entities.
