As of today, January 29, 10 thousand people submitted applications to participate in remote electronic voting in the Russian presidential elections, another 2.5 thousand applications were received through the Mobile Voter system, which allows you to vote at your actual location. Such data was presented by the head of the Central Election Commission, Ella Pamfilova, at a meeting of the Central Election Commission, a Kommersant correspondent reports.
The head of the Central Election Commission recalled that the acceptance of applications for participation in the DEG and voting at their location began at 00:00 Moscow time on January 29. She clarified that residents of 29 regions will have the opportunity to vote remotely in the presidential elections. At the same time, Muscovites do not need to submit applications for the DEG, because in the capital remote voting is carried out on the mos.ru portal, Ella Pamfilova said.
Presidential elections will be held March 15-17. Earlier today CEC registered Vladimir Putin as a candidate in the presidential elections. The decision was made unanimously.
11 people are vying for the post of President of Russia. The CEC has already registered Nikolai Kharitonov (KPRF), Leonid Slutsky (LDPR) and Vladislav Davankov (New People) without collecting signatures, because they are representatives of parliamentary parties. Nominees from parties not included in the State Duma – Sergei Malinkovich, Boris Nadezhdin, Andrei Bogdanov, Sergei Baburin, Irina Sviridova – need to receive at least 100 thousand signatures. The decision to register all candidates will be made no later than February 10.
