As Alexandra Suvorov, press secretary of Vladimir Putin’s campaign headquarters, told Kommersant, the candidate’s total income for six years consists mainly of his salary as president for this period. In addition, in 2017, a plot of land belonging to him was sold.
“The amount of a candidate’s savings is commensurate with his income. It is necessary to take into account that the position of President of the Russian Federation presupposes being on state support, which allows you to save money,” said Ms. Suvorova.
This year’s Russian presidential elections will take place over three days, from March 15 to 17. January 22, Mr. Putin’s headquarters passed the Central Election Commission signed in support of it.
