Preliminary results of the Russian presidential elections have appeared. According to the Central Election Commission (CEC), with 26.07% of the ballots processed, Vladimir Putin takes first place with 87.86% of the votes.
In turn, second place was taken by the candidate from the Communist Party of the Russian Federation Nikolai Kharitonov (3.86%), third by the candidate from the New People party Vladislav Davankov (3.76%), fourth by the LDPR party Leonid Slutsky (2.97%) .
Voting in the country’s presidential elections took place from March 15 to 17. All polling stations in the Russian Federation closed on Sunday at 20:00.
