After processing 99.7% of the protocols, current President Vladimir Putin is leading the presidential election with 87.31% of the votes. Nikolai Kharitonov received 4.30% of the votes, Vladislav Davankov – 3.83% of the votes, Leonid Slutsky – 3.21% of the votes, the Central Election Commission reported.
The turnout in all regions was 74.22% (data as of 18:00 Moscow time), the turnout of voters registered in the DEG was 94%.
This is Vladimir Putin’s fifth presidential term. He has already been congratulated on his victory by the leader of North Korea Kim Jong-un, the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, and the leader of the opposition Party of Socialists of Moldova Igor Dodon.
