The Bank of Russia intends to hold a new meeting on the issue of the size of the property qualification to recognize investors as qualified, said Mikhail Mamuta, head of the service for protecting consumer rights and ensuring the availability of financial services of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation. “Earlier, non-quals invested very actively in foreign securities, now this opportunity is limited for them due to objective reasons. Accordingly, the more opportunities there are for investing inside Russia, the more interest there will be in continuing to invest,” said Mr. Mamuta.
Consultations on the diversity of the range of financial instruments allowed to unqualified investors, the regulator is conducting these days, said the representative of the Central Bank.
