In the Voronezh region, it is planned to build a center for the production of engine nacelles for MS-21 and Sukhoi Superjet New aircraft. About it in my Telegram channel informed Governor of the region Alexander Gusev.
According to him, the new building will appear in the Maslovsky industrial park. The project will involve state support funds and extra-budgetary investments. The government signed an agreement on the construction of a new building with the managing director of PJSC “Il” Daniil Brenerman.
Gusev expects that after the launch of production, tax revenues to the regional budget will reach 5.6 billion rubles over 15 years. More than 500 people are expected to work in the new building.
The corporation added that the production of engine nacelles has already been launched at the Voronezh aircraft plant, but “large-scale expansion is needed” taking into account development plans. The new building will produce engine nacelles for PD-14 and PD-8 engines.
In June 2022, Russia approved a new program for the development of the aviation industry. It provides for the supply of 1036 aircraft for the needs of civil aviation until 2030, including 142 SSJ-New and 270 MS-21-310 aircraft.
In 2022, Russian aircraft manufacturers represented by UAC signed an agreement of intent with Aeroflot for the supply of 339 aircraft. According to the document, “Aeroflot» on a lease basis from 2023 to 2030 will receive 210 MS-21 aircraft, 89 SSJ New aircraft and 40 Tu-214 aircraft. It was noted that the first two SSJs will be handed over to the airline next year, and the delivery of the first MS-21 and Tu-214 is scheduled for 2024.
