The Central Bank of Russia in the baseline scenario assumes that anti-Russian sanctions will remain in effect until at least the end of 2025.
The Central Bank’s forecast also notes that the fall in national GDP by the end of 2022 will be 4-6 percent, while in 2023 it will be from 1 to 4 percent.
The regulator also presented a forecast for exports. The Central Bank expects that this year it will fall by 17 percent. The decline will continue next year due to sanctions. Near-zero dynamics are expected in 2024, and a slight increase is planned in 2025.
At the same time, imports to Russia in 2022 will fall by almost a third – from 27.5 to 31.5 percent.
