The Central Bank of Russia, following the Moscow Exchange, included the St. Petersburg Exchange in the register of digital financial asset exchange operators (DFAs), it was said on website regulator In June 2023, the trading platform was included in the list of information system operators that issue DFA.
“The St. Petersburg Exchange has created a technological infrastructure that allows for interoperability in the digital rights market through interaction with other information system operators. Our goal is to provide the opportunity for participants in the DFA market to acquire digital rights issued in various information systems,” the regulator’s press service quotes Alexey Kucheryavenko, deputy director of the department for the development of trading, accounting and settlement infrastructure of the DFA market and decentralized finance of the exchange.
Moscow Exchange was included in the register of exchange operators in August 2023. The regulator included the St. Petersburg Exchange simultaneously both in the register of exchange operators and in the register of information systems of the DFA. This status allows you to carry out transactions with digital assets that are issued, including on other systems, the Central Bank clarified.
