The Central Bank advocated the sale of cryptocurrency from mining only to non-residents

Representatives of the Central Bank came out with support bill, which provides for state regulation of the procedure for mining cryptocurrency and its further sale. At the same time, the regulator noted that the cryptocurrency received in the Russian jurisdiction as a result of mining should be sold only to non-residents using foreign infrastructure.
“The Bank of Russia conceptually supports the bill. It provides for restrictions on transactions with cryptocurrency obtained as a result of mining. At the same time, we believe that the cryptocurrency obtained as a result of mining can be sold exclusively using foreign information infrastructure and only to non-residents,” the press service of the Central Bank told RIA Novosti.
The regulator added that they adhere to the “inadmissibility of the circulation of digital currency” in Russia and allow the removal of restrictions on the sale of cryptocurrencies only under the conditions of experimental legal regimes with the participation of “authorized organizations”.
Previously, the position of the Central Bank, which advocates total licensing of cryptocurrency mining, criticized Deputy Finance Minister Alexei Moiseev. In his opinion, the forced transfer of miners to an experimental legal regime will actually bring mining under the ban.
