The Russian government will finance the reconstruction of the A-290 Novorossiysk – Kerch highway, using funds from the reserve fund in the amount of 611.1 million rubles. will be allocated until the end of the year – to speed up the work, reported press service of the Cabinet of Ministers. According to government data, 321.1 million rubles. will go to renovate a 27 km long section in the Krasnodar Territory. The reconstruction, as noted, should increase the transport accessibility of the Taman port in the region.
Another 290 million rubles. the authorities will direct the construction of an interchange with the railway in the area of the 16th km of the route to continue. The work will reduce the accident rate on the site and avoid traffic jams, the Cabinet explained.
Winter 2020 was announced competition for the design and construction of the first section of the expressway from Krasnodar to the Crimean Bridge. It was planned to allocate 59 billion rubles from the federal budget for the 68 km long road. The cost of the entire 119 km long route is estimated at almost 100 billion rubles.
The first section of the road, as reported, will run from the junction of the Krasnodar-Kerch and Novorossiysk-Kerch highways in the area of the Bely farm to the A-289 junction and the road from Slavyansk-on-Kuban to Krymsk. It should be completed in 2024. At the second stage, the route will be completed to the future Far Western Bypass of Krasnodar.
