“In 2023-2024. half a billion rubles will be allocated to measures to reduce the cost of package tours on domestic Russian routes, ”the Cabinet said.
This is a program to support tour operators who organize charter flights within the country, the government said. This year, 250 million rubles will be allocated for these purposes, the same amount will be allocated in 2024.
The Cabinet of Ministers has been implementing this program since 2021 as part of the national project “Tourism and Hospitality Industry”. Last year 70 regions of Russia took part in it. The Cabinet reminded that the program is valid until 2024 inclusive.
Former President of the Russian Union of Travel Industry (PCT) Ilya Umansky informed, that in 2023 the tourist flow in Russia may increase up to 10% compared to last year, and abroad – by 25-30%. He noted that the dynamics of the tourist flow across the country in 2023 will be determined by the availability of transportation and the availability of hotel infrastructure, the volume of which, according to Umansky, is growing every year.
