The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine confirmed the death of Interior Minister Denis Monastyrsky, his deputy Yevgeny Enin and State Secretary of the Ministry Yuri Lubkovich in a plane crash in Brovary. About it wrote Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal on his Telegram channel.
“The tragedy in Brovary. As a result of the helicopter crash, at least 18 people were killed. Among them are Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Denis Monastyrsky, his deputy Yevgeny Enin, State Secretary of the Ministry Yuriy Lubkovich. A big loss for the government team and the entire state,” he wrote.
Shmyhal also said that he ordered to immediately create a special group to investigate in detail all the circumstances of the tragedy.
About the plane crash in the Kyiv region became known this morning around 10:00 Moscow time. It was reported about 16 dead, among them two children. Later, Klymenko Time, citing the Ministry of Internal Affairs, reported that the death toll had increased to 18, and another child died.
This information confirmed Head of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration Oleksiy Kuleba in his Telegram channel. “In the city of Brovary, a helicopter crashed near a kindergarten and a residential building. During the tragedy, children and employees of the institution were in the garden. At the moment, everyone has been evacuated, ”the message says.
The cause of the aircraft crash was not specified. In the video published by local Telegram channels, it can be seen that a severe fire broke out as a result of the helicopter crash.
