The Government of Russia approved the procedure for maintaining the register of agricultural land, reported on the cabinet website.
The resolution was signed on February 2 by Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin. The register is a subsystem of the Unified Federal Information System on agricultural lands and other lands used for agricultural activities.
“The register is a state information resource containing a set of reliable systematized information about the state of agricultural land, their use and other information about agricultural land,” the document says.
It is assumed that, based on the results of state monitoring, it will automatically conduct the processes of collecting, processing, storing, analyzing and presenting information about this category of land. It will contain information about the area, location and boundaries, type of land, information about the site, such as cadastral number, address, cadastral value, type of right, encumbrances, etc., information about the owner, fertility indicators, information about capital and non-capital buildings on the lands and types of their use, on the types of products produced, measures to restore fertility, recultivation, the results of state supervision, etc.
“In fact, this resource will become a tool for assessing the state of land for agricultural production. It will make it possible to quickly find opportunities for new agricultural projects, including those to increase food production,” the government said in a statement.
The resolution states that the information providers will be Rosreestr, organizations subordinate to the Ministry of Agriculture, the state corporation Roscosmos and authorities.
The press service of the government added that the work of the registry will contribute to the implementation of the program to involve agricultural land in circulation, which involves the involvement of 13.2 million hectares of unused land and the preservation of reclaimed land in the agricultural turnover on an area of at least 3.6 million hectares.
