The CAA of the Zaporozhye region announced the suppression of an attempt to land troops of the Armed Forces of Ukraine

The Ukrainian armed forces attempted to land their paratroopers on the Russian-controlled part of the Zaporozhye region and were rebuffed, informed “RIA Novosti” Vladimir Rogov, a member of the main council of the military-civilian administration (CAA) of the region.

According to him, at least 20 high-speed boats “with a large number of armed people” had previously moved out of the Kamensky and Stepnogorsk region.

“The Kyiv regime deployed several dozen boats with militants to land in the Zaporozhye region in three directions: Vasilievka, Dneprorudne and Energodar. There is no logical explanation for such actions. All this was more like an imitation of violent activity on the eve of a meeting of the so-called Ramstein group created by Western countries to provide military assistance to Kyiv. Ukrainian militants were rebuffed,” Rogov said.

According to him, the Russian Armed Forces stopped the attempted landing with the help of aviation. Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation published footage of the combat work of the airborne units that stopped the breakthrough of the units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Earlier this week, before the arrival of the IAEA mission on the territory of the Zaporizhzhya NPP, the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) attempted to land troops. Head of CAA Energodar Alexander Volga informedthat the city came under artillery fire, which killed at least three people.

The Russian Defense Ministry then stated that army aviation was involved in the destruction of the Ukrainian landing force. The Russian military pointed to Kyiv’s attempts to disrupt the trip of IAEA specialists. During August, the station and Energodar were repeatedly shelled by the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the pro-Russian authorities and the Russian Defense Ministry reported.
