Former Archbishop Baron of York and Life Peer of Great Britain John Sentamu declaredthat Queen Elizabeth II didn’t want a “boring” funeral. Therefore, those who gathered to honor her memory must wait for a “magnificent service” that will warm their hearts.

One million people are expected to follow the Queen’s coffin from Westminster Hall to Westminster Abbey for the funeral ceremony. King Charles, members of the royal family and dignitaries from around the world will be in attendance.

Lord Sentamu promised that the funeral service would be so good that it could become an inspiration for Shakespeare. According to him, the British will hear the angelic voices of the choristers of the Abbey and the Royal Chapel.

The former archbishop also revealed that the Queen wrote to him of her grief four weeks after the death of her beloved husband Prince Philip. Elizabeth admitted that it was not easy for her to publicly pay tribute to her husband, especially because she really grieves deeply.

Already on September 18, hundreds of thousands of people are heading to London, and trains, roads and airports are expected to be filled with more passengers.

The Queen’s hearse will leave Westminster Hall, where it is now located, on September 19 at 10:44, and at 11:00 a memorial service for two thousand people will begin in Westminster Abbey.

Senior palace advisers have asked the Prince and Princess of Wales to consider allowing their son Prince George to attend the state funeral. It will be a powerful symbolic message – the boy at the age of nine became the second contender for the place of Great Britain. But the decision has not yet been made.
