Managing Director of Magnit (MOEX: MGNT) Anna Meleshina was elected to the position of General Director of the company for a period of three years. She will take office on January 15, 2024, said press service “Magnit” following the meeting of the board of directors.

The Board of Directors also elected the composition of the new sole executive body (board) of Magnit. In addition to Mrs. Meleshina, it included Anna Bobrova, Andrei Bodrov, Dmitry Ivanov, Ruslan Ismailov, Yuri Misnik, Fedor Pavlovsky, Francesco Fiamingo and Egor Shumilin.

In May, Magnit President and CEO Jan Dunning announced a change in the management structure of the retail chain. He introduced the positions of executive and managing directors. In June, Mr. Dunning himself moved to the first position, and Ms. Meleshina, who is also the director of the department of corporate relations and sustainable development of the company, became the managing director.

From 2002 to 2013, Anna Meleshina worked at Heineken. During this period, she rose to become Director of Corporate Relations in Russia and a member of the Global Board of Directors for Corporate Relations. From 2013 to 2017, she served as director of public relations and government relations at Lenta and was a member of the network’s board. From 2017 to 2019, she was Director of External Relations and Communications for Russia and Belarus at Coca-Cola.
