At the event in the building of the Main Admiralty in St. Petersburg, issues of the history of the Baltic Fleet, its participation in the Great Patriotic War, the defense of Leningrad and in the Russo-Japanese War were considered. His role in ensuring security in the western strategic direction was also discussed.
At the end of April was presented new commander of the Baltic Fleet. They became Vice Admiral Vladimir Vorobyov. By information TASS, the Russian fleets will be withdrawn from the subordination of military districts.
