The Baltic countries, Poland and the Czech Republic demanded a ban on grain imports from Russia

The press service of the Ministry of Agriculture of Lithuania issued a statement in which the demand was voiced to ban the import of grain from Russia and Belarus to the European Union.

In addition to Lithuania, this document was signed by the ministers of agriculture of Latvia, Estonia, Poland and the Czech Republic. The department clarified that it has already been sent to the European Commission.

“The appeal initiated by Lithuania to the EU commissioners also asks to ensure cooperation among EU member states so that this restriction is effectively applied throughout the EU,” the Lithuanian Ministry of Agriculture added.
