The 61st brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which was part of Kherson in November 2022, was almost completely destroyed in Soledar. About this in a conversation with RIA Novosti informed Acting Governor of the Kherson region Volodymyr Saldo.

“In Soledar, the Wagnerites practically destroyed the 61st brigade of the enemy, which, with pathos, under video recordings, entered empty Kherson in November. It turned out to be more difficult to fight the Russians than to record pseudo-heroic video reports, ”he said.

The balance also noted that Kyiv had transferred part of its troops from the Kherson direction to the Donbass. According to him, now in the Kherson region, mainly hostilities of local importance and shelling are being carried out.

Kherson has been under the control of the Russian Armed Forces since March 2022, but since November the city has come under temporary control of the Ukrainian military. According to Saldo, on the left-bank part of the Kherson region, residents are gradually returning to their usual lives, “people are getting used to living together with the military.”
