The peak of the military capabilities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) has been overcome, so the enemy is afraid to go on the so-called counteroffensive, said Acting Governor of the Kherson region Volodymyr Saldo.

“For many days, the Kiev regime has been announcing the so-called “counteroffensive”, but it has not started in any way. The fact is that the peak of the enemy’s military capabilities has been overcome – a turning point has occurred in the war and the enemy is simply afraid. Our military is ready to meet them as expected – like a man, ” wrote Balance in the Telegram channel.

He also added that all statements by the Ukrainian side on the subject of a counteroffensive are part of the information war.

On May 18, the Acting Governor of the Zaporizhia Region, Yevhen Balitsky, said that the Armed Forces of Ukraine had missed the chance for a counteroffensive across the region. “We have everything we need to repel any attack. <...> With a high degree of probability they [ВСУ] lost their chance to do it in the fall,” Balitsky said at the time.

Since the winter, Ukraine has been announcing a counteroffensive, with conflicting statements from Kyiv periodically on this subject, as some officials claim that counteroffensive actions have already begun, but then they are denied by others. However, the Russian side also speaks about the activation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the front line. “We see activation along the entire line of contact, this is not yet the counter-offensive that has been talked about a lot,” Denis Pushilin, acting head of the DPR, said on May 15.

One of the turning points in the course of the special operation was the liberation of Artemovsk. information about the capture of the city, fierce battles for which there were many months, on the night of May 21, was confirmed by the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.

Russia’s special operation in Ukraine began on February 24, 2022. President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin called the protection of the inhabitants of Donbass, as well as the demilitarization and denazification of Ukraine, its goals. During the special operation, Russian troops took full control of the LPR, as well as most of the DPR, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions.
