Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said that he does not agree with the words of the leader of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation Gennady Zyuganov about the large number of beggars in the country and low wages. According to the prime minister, the average salary in Russia is 73 thousand rubles.

“Yes, that’s right, I can show you the calculations. We know this from employers, every figure: what employers pay, payments to defense enterprises, participants in special military operations – they are all taken into account,” Mr. Mishustin said during a conversation with deputies after the government’s report to the State Duma (quote from “Interfax”). According to him, real wages in the country increased by 7.8% over the year, and the growth of total income was 5.6%.

April 1, Russian President Vladimir Putin instructed the government to increase the minimum wage (minimum wage). By 2030, the minimum wage, according to the instructions of the head of state, should be increased more than twice and be at least 35 thousand rubles.

The President also ordered to improve the wage system in the public sector in order to reduce the difference in income in different regions.
