The authorities of the Kaluga region reported the fall of an unidentified object

An unidentified object fell in the Kaluga region. About it informs the press service of the regional government on the page in VKontakte.

“An unidentified object fell in the Tovarkovo area,” the report says.

The incident occurred in the Dzerzhinsky district on June 1 at 10.11. As a result of the fall, an explosion occurred and a funnel formed. Subsequently, the grass caught fire, now units of the Ministry of Emergency Situations are working on the spot, the press service specified.

It is noted that economic facilities and residential buildings were not damaged. There are also no casualties among the population. The regional government urged citizens to trust only official information.

The Telegram channel Shot claims that an aircraft-type drone was shot down in the Kaluga region. According to the resource, the size of the resulting funnel is 3 by 4 m, the wreckage of the drone is scattered within a radius of 100 m. The grass that was on fire has already been extinguished, writes Shot.

This is not the first case of falling objects in the Kaluga region. May 17 RIA Novosti with reference to emergency services wrotethat the wreckage of the drone was found near Tarutino. According to the interlocutor, the drone did not carry any ammunition.

Prior to this, the regional governor Vladislav Shapsha informedthat on the night of February 6, a drone exploded over the Kaluga region at an altitude of 50 m. No one was injured in the incident and no material damage was caused.

December 23, 2022 authorities of the Kaluga region banned drone flights in the region. In addition, since October 20, 2022, a high alert mode has been operating in the region by decree of the President of the Russian Federation.
