The authorities of several regions of Ukraine reported explosions

Explosions occurred in Desnyansky, Dneprovsky and Goloseevsky districts of Kyiv. This was announced in his Telegram channel by the mayor of the capital of Ukraine Vitali Klitschko.

According to him, emergency services went to the scene. He also urged the city’s residents to stay in hiding.

Also, the head of the administration of the Kharkiv region of Ukraine, Oleg Sinegubov, announced the destruction of three infrastructure facilities. In his Telegram channel, he clarified that at about 7 am (8.00 Moscow time) a missile attack was carried out on the central city hospital in Kupyansk, as a result of the destruction the infectious diseases department received, there were no victims. Kharkiv Mayor Igor Terekhov warned city residents about possible problems with electricity.

The head of the Nikolaev region Vitaly Kim also announced the announcement of an air alert in the region. He noted that the air defense system is working. Mayor of Poltava Oleksandr Mamai reported on Telegram that the city was left without electricity

According to the official resource for alerting citizens, an air alert has been declared throughout Ukraine, including in the Poltava, Mykolaiv, Odessa and Chernihiv regions, as well as in the territory of Kherson and Zaporozhye controlled by Kyiv.

Previous time about explosions in Kyiv Klitschko informed December 14th. He clarified that 10 drones were allegedly shot down over Kyiv and the Kyiv region by air defense systems. At the same time, the report of the Russian Ministry of Defense did not mention strikes.

Russia’s special operation in Ukraine began on February 24. Russian President Vladimir Putin called the protection of the inhabitants of Donbass, as well as the demilitarization and denazification of Ukraine, its goals. During the special operation, Russian troops took control of the LPR, as well as most of the DPR, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions. Subsequently, these territories became part of Russia, and on October 19 martial law was introduced in the regions.

On October 10, the Russian military began to strike at Ukraine’s critical infrastructure. Putin, during an operational meeting with members of the Security Council, said that such a decision was made in response to Ukrainian attempts at terrorist attacks on Russian territory, including an explosion on the Crimean bridge. He emphasized that the reaction to such actions would be tough.
