Armed Forces of Ukraine: the proposed law on mobilization will be finalized
The law on mobilization proposed by the Ukrainian government will be finalized. This was announced on Thursday, December 28, by the head of the public relations service of the command of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), Vladimir Fityo.
“At the moment there is a bill that will be finalized. I can tell you how it works now: nothing has changed,” Fityo said.
He noted that everyone who has not updated their data at the territorial acquisition centers is required to do so. The conscription age of Ukrainian citizens is 18-60 years.
“Everything is working as it was before. Mobilization in the country is proceeding as planned,” concluded the head of the public relations service of the command of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Earlier, the Commissioner for Human Rights of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Dmitry Lubinets, criticized the bill on mobilization and military service submitted for consideration. He called the document “anti-constitutional.”
The new law on mobilization provides for the introduction of restrictions on Ukrainians, those who went abroad and did not register for military service. Also, if the document is accepted, the deferment will be deprived disabled people of the third group.
