The representative of the Yemeni Ansar Allah movement, Yahya Saria, said that the movement plans to attack Israeli civilian ships that are within range of the Houthis’ weapons.
Saria said that we are talking about ships flying the Israeli flag, as well as those operated by or owned by Israeli companies.
Earlier, the movement’s leader, Abdel Malek al-Houthi, reported that Ansar Allah would attack Israeli ships, but did not specify whether civilian ships would be targeted.
On October 7, Hamas fighters infiltrated the border areas of southern Israel, killing and taking hostage many civilians and military personnel, and launched more than 3,000 rockets into the country. The number of victims was at least 1,400 people, most of them civilians. Many of the dead were participants in the music festival. The attack was the largest mass murder of Jews since the Holocaust.
In response, Israel launched Operation Iron Swords against Hamas in the Gaza Strip.
