India is considering the possibility of increasing the supply of medicines, electronics, agricultural products and auto parts to Russia. About this Russian Ambassador to India Denis Alipov told “RIA News”.

The Ambassador noted the growing interest of both Russian business in India, and Indian companies in the Russian market. According to him, we are talking about the development of investment cooperation in pharmaceuticals, the development of hydrocarbon deposits, as well as in the diamond complex.

“The possibilities of expanding supplies of medicines, agricultural products, electronics, auto components to the Russian market, and high-tech products, gold and precious metals to the Indian market are being studied,” Alipov said. He added that India is also interested in cooperation in the mining industry, civil aviation and shipbuilding.

On the eve it became known that the trade turnover between Russia and India for the first half of 2022 increased by 120% and amounted to $ 11.5 billion. This follows from the Kremlin’s materials for the meeting of Russian President Vladimir Putin with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit in Samarkand. The Kremlin also noted an increase in the export of Russian hydrocarbons to India. In addition, it is planned to discuss the supply of Russian fertilizers to the Indian market.

On September 15-16, Samarkand will host a meeting of the SCO Council of Heads of State for the first time in three years. The leaders of 15 states will take part in the summit. Earlier it became known that Vladimir Putin will hold talks with Chinese President Xi Jinping, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and heads of other states.
