Ukrainian Ambassador to the United States Oksana Markarova said that Kiev does not have confidence in the constant support from Washington, since receiving assistance is a permanent job. At the same time, Pentagon Inspector General Robert Storch said earlier that criminal groups were able to obtain American weapons sent to the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the early stages of hostilities in February 2022, but the SBU stopped attempts to sell and use them.

Markarova also acknowledged Ukraine’s “historic” problems with corruption, but she said civil society “actively monitors where we spend our money.”

Since the beginning of Russia’s special operation in Ukraine, Washington, according to the Pentagon, has allocated more than $43 billion to Kyiv for military assistance, according to the Pentagon.
